Operating in congested areas can very often be a difficult exercise and there are times when operating with a standard permission for commercial operation can preclude your ability to operate. This is where an Operating Safety Case (or OSC) comes into play.
An OSC is an added volume to your operations manual that details the enhanced risk mitigations that you as an operator would put in place to reduce the potential for any incident or accident to be as low as reasonably practical (ALARP) and once in approved it allows you as an operator to fly with greatly reduced separation distances.
This will also look at
Type of aircraft in play:-its features and redundancies.
Your level of skill:-How long have you been flying, what other relevant experience do you have?
Documentation, Evidence and Proof:-You will need to provide detailed evidence to back up your application and have all of the above formatted in the correct manner before it is presented to the CAA.
Our expert team can help you put your OSC document together and guide you through the application process ensuring that your OSC has the greatest chance of being accepted, gaining you the reduced operating distances that you require.
